Imo State Universal Basic Education Board IMSUBEB today protested nonpayment of salaries after many promises from the governor Hope Uzodimma.
According to reports, the Rebuild Imo PDP led government of Emeka Ihedioha gave out these IMSUBEB contracts to fix most of Imo schools mostly at the rural areas that were in a very bad shape which made learning unconducive for Imo school children and they were dutifully carrying out their jobs as prescribed in their contact papers however they alleged that everything changed when the Supreme Court ushered in the present government.
They claimed Today is exactly six months they have been in office and nothing has been paid to the contractors of which most of them borrowed money from the banks to get the job done for the state.
They, therefore, appealed to the governor to pay them what they are owed.
