The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress in Rivers State, Biokpomabo Awara, has debunked claims by his deputy, Akpo Yeeh, that the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, made them to sign undated letters of resignation.
Awara made this declaration while expressing disappointment over Yeeh’s defection to the Peoples’ Democratic Party.
While speaking in Port Harcourt, the governorship candidate said that he had rejected N3bn, allegedly offered for him to drop his ambition adding that All Progressives Congress gave the AAC unconditional support.
Awara, who was represented by AAC’s Director of Information and Communications, Emma Okah, said the APC had adopted his party, meanwhile accused the Rivers State PDP of not telling the truth to Nigerians.
