ABIA: POLICE ARREST APGA CANDIDATE

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, House of Assembly candidate for Aba North Constituency of Abia State, Destiny Nwagwu, has been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police, Aba Divisional Command.

This was confirmed by the Abia State chairman of APGA, Augustine Ehiemere, alleging that some men dressed in plain cloth with the inscription SARS(Special Anti-Robbery Squad) took Nwagwu to unknown location from his residence in Aba.

Reports say that the Aba North State Constituency APGA candidate was being held based on a petition written against Nwagwu by the Transition Committee chairman of Aba North, Charles Eseonu.

Meanwhile, the Abia State Command Police spokesman, Geoffrey Ogbonna, has not confirmed or denied the incident.
