The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria,Tanko Muhammad, has asked the military to act within the law if it wants to win public trust in the fight against insecurity.
Mohammed made the charge at a retreat organized by the Nigerian Air Force in Abuja where he stated that the military needs public support in order to combat the present challenges in Nigeria.
The Chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar, who spoke at the retreat, however, expressed concerns over allegations raised by some Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO), about the military disregarding human rights and international laws.
Abubakar further said that the allegations had done more harm than good in the relationship between the military and the populace.
