ANAMBRA ORDERS CLOSURE OF SCHOOLS OVER CORONAVIRUS

The Anambra State Government has ordered all schools in the state to vacate indefinitely over the coronavirus pandemic.

The government in an announcement today said the indefinite vacation becomes effective tomorrow March 20.

Most schools in the state were planning to commence their second term examinations next week before the order was issued earlier today.

According to the government, included in the suspension are all inter-house sports competitions until further notice.

They also insisted that the management of all schools in the state must provide hand wash stations at the entrance of all schools as well as take the temperature of their boarding students at least once every day.

Temperatures above 37.9 degrees Celsius must be reported to the nearest hospital.

Meanwhile, The Lagos State Government has announced four new cases of coronavirus. The state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, revealed this in an ongoing press conference. Details of this new case will follow in subsequent bulletins.
