Written by on March 27, 2019

The US Federal Aviation Agency say a Boeing 737 MAX aircraft operated by Southwest Airlines made an emergency landing after experiencing an engine problem during a flight from Florida to California.

Meanwhile, the FAA said the aircraft landed safely in Orlando, Florida adding however that no passengers were on board the aircraft, which was flying to Victorville, California for storage.

The FAA is also investigating circumstances which grounded the Boeing 737 MAX on March 13 following two deadly accidents involving Ethiopian Airlines and Lion Air.

Reports say a Senate Commerce Committee panel will hold a hearing to question FAA Acting Administration Daniel Elwell and Transportation Department Inspector General Calvin Scovel on the certification of the airplane.
