On the foreign scene, police in Brasil are investigating a school shooting in which eight people were reportedly killed saying the two young gunmen had planned their attack long in advance.

The pair, aged 17 and 25, are said to have killed five pupils, a school administrator and a teacher near the city of São Paulo even as they had shot dead the uncle of the 17 year old suspect, identified as Taucci Monteiro who state officials say had never shown any problems at school.

Guilherme and his 25-year-old accomplice, Luiz Henrique de Castro arrived at the Raul Brasil school in Suzano around 09:30 in a white car reportedly stolen from a rental agency.

A recording from a CCTV camera reportedly showed Monteiro, who walked into  the school yard, pulled his gun and shot the students in the face after which they headed to the next school where some pupils and teachers had barricaded themselves in a classroom after hearing gunshots.
