BUHARI DEPARTS NIGERIA TO ATTEND CONFERENCE IN JAPAN

President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Abuja for Japan to participate in the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development that is slated for the City of Yokohama from August 28 to 30.

Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, said the president would deliver Nigeria’s statement during Plenary Session Three in which he would appraise Nigeria-Japan relations and take-aways from the sixth edition of the conference

He will attend a state banquet and also honour the invitation of Emperor Naruhito to a tea reception at the Imperial Palace, Tokyo.

Buhari’s participation will be his second, having attended the last edition in Nairobi, Kenya, in August 2016.
