COURT REDUCES MAINA’S BAIL CONDITION

The Federal High Court, Abuja has varied the bail conditions of ex-chairman, defunct Pension Reformed Task Team Abdulrasheed Maina.
Justice Okon Abang, who gave the ruling, admitted Maina to bail condition in the sum of N500 million with a surety in the like sum who must be a serving senator.
Justice Abang said the conduct of the defendant has been good and he has been inclined, to vary the bail conditions in this matter.
It could be recalled that Justice Abang had, on Nov. 26, admitted Abdulrasheed Maina to bail in the sum of N1 billion.
Maina is being charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on a 12-count charge bordering on money laundering, among others.
