An Owerri, Imo State-based accounting firm, Raphael Anyama & Co Chartered Accountants has denied having any dealings with the administration of Emeka Ihedioha.

The firm was alleged, by the state Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba, to have received a payment of N245 million for Rural Roads Account without payment vouchers or approvals.

However, reacting to the allegation on behalf of the company, Chief R. O. Anyama, described the allegations as false.

According to him, “Whereas it is not compulsory that they must react to this false publication, they found it necessary to inform the general public, particularly friends and associates, that the publication is false.

He insisted that during the seven months of Ihedioha’s administration as governor of Imo State, the company never entered into any contractual or financial dealings with the state government.

The company added that already the former special adviser to the governor on local government and chieftaincy affairs, Mayor Eze, had exonerated the company from any financial relationship with the state government.
