Written by on February 27, 2020

The authorities in Indonesian have appealed to the Saudi Government to exempt pilgrims from Indonesia in their decision to ban foreigners to enter Riyadh for religious visits
This comes after President Joko Widodo says he “respects” the decision of the Saudi Arabian government to ban foreigners from entering the country for religious visits.
The ban includes visits to the two holiest sites in Islam – Mecca and Medina.
Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim nation.
The country currently has no known coronavirus cases – though experts have raised concerns about the accuracy of the lab tests in Indonesia.
