INEC MAKES FINAL DECISION ON RIVERS GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it will continue with collation of results in Rivers State.

INEC’s Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi said this in a live television broadcast yesterday night where he explained that the commission will conclude the collation exercise in Rivers as it was not declared inconclusive.

It will be recalled that collation of Rivers results was suspended by INEC due to alleged electoral malpractices and violence.

The INEC spokesman further disclosed that the Collation Officer for Bauchi who was replaced because of the threats to her life and that of her family will tomorrow be replaced by a new collation officer who will go back and conclude the collation for areas affected in the state.
