NIGERIAN PLAYER ARRESTED IN INDIA FOR FORGERY

A popular Nigerian footballer based in India has been arrested for allegedly forging his travelling documents sometime in June 2015.

The 31-year-old footballer, Daniel Bidemiayen, also known as Daniel Bidemi, was arrested by Security Control Organisation (SCO) officers that raided his Madurdaha apartment.

Bidemi, a well-known Nigerian footballer in the Kolkata football circle has been described as a versatile footballer who plays in different positions.

He started played for Mohun Bagan in 2016 having played in the I-League for Shillong Lajong Football Club and Sporting Clube de.
