NIGERIAN POLICE DETONATES BIAFRA BOMBS IN THREE STATES

The Nigeria Police says it has uncovered and detonated an undisclosed number of bombs left during the 1967-1970 Biafra civil war in Imo, Delta and Anambra states.

The Commissioner of Police in charge of Nigeria’s Explosive Ordinance Department, Maikudi Shehu, said construction workers at building sites discovered the explosives in the three states and reported their findings to security agencies.

Shehu said the explosives were detonated without causing panic.
