NLC CALLS FG TO STOP PUBLIC SCHOOL FEEDING

The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Niger State Chapter, Idris Ndako, yesterday called on the Federal Government to put a to stop its school feeding programme policy, describing it as a waste of public resources.

Ndako, who disclosed this in Minna while speaking at an assembly organised by the Niger State wing of the NUT suggested that the money being spent on the school feeding programme should be channelled to other ventures that would benefit majority of Nigerians.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government had recently claimed it spends well over N9bn monthly on the feeding of several thousands of pupils in public schools across the country.
