RIVERS STATE: COURT DECLARES LULU BRIGGS’ GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDACY VOID

In a breaking news, a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt today declared the Accord Party governorship candidate in Rivers State, Dumo Lulu Briggs, unfit to contest in the March 9 governorship election.
According to the presiding Justice Emmanuel Obile, Lulu Briggs,who was a governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the time, did not participate in the primaries conducted on the 4th October, 2018, thereby rendering his candidacy as null, void and unconstitutional.
The court, thereafter, ordered INEC to replace his name with the plantiff, Precious Baridoo as the candidate of the party.
