The Electoral Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State, Leo Okon has disclosed how soldiers from the 6 Division, Port Harcourt allegedly hijacked election result materials after voting in Saturday presidential election.

Okon said that the soldiers invaded INEC office in Okrika and snatched results of the Presidential and National Assembly elections for the council area.

The Electoral Officer, who spoke to newsmen yesterday at the Rivers East Senatorial District Collation Centre, said the soldiers had earlier frightened the collation officers by shooting sporadically.

So far, the Nigeria army has not released any statement to confirm or deny the statement.
