TORONTO RAPTORS WIN FIRST NBA TITLE

Written by on June 14, 2019

The NBA’s lone Canadian team won the first NBA championship in their 24-year history, beating the Golden State Warriors 114-110 in Game 6 of the finals on Thursday.
It was another thriller and victory meant Toronto became the first non-US team to win the NBA championship.
The Raptors’ Kawhi Leonard was named NBA finals MVP.
The Warriors, who headed into the finals with back-to-back wins and had won three of the past four NBA titles, were without the injured Kevin Durant and lost Klay Thompson to cruciate knee ligament damage in the third quarter.
