VETERAN RAPPER MISSY ELLIOTT TO RECEIVE HONORARY DOCTORATE FROM BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC

Veteran American rapper, Melissa Arnette Elliott, aka Missy Elliott, who will become the first female Hip Hop artist inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this June, as she receives an honorary doctorate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

According to the school’s website, Berklee President Roger H. Brown will present the doctorate to Elliott, a 5time Grammy Award winner alongside conductor Alex Lacamoire and singer/actor Justin Timberlake during Berklee College of Music’s commencement ceremony.

This year’s honorary doctorate recipients are being recognized for their achievements and influences in music and for their enduring global impact.
